A unique cuisine in sight...the Lebanese Restaurant & Cafe

The main courses apply for both lunch & dinner.
The hot appetizer - Cheese rolls
Crispy Cheese rolls which resemble our chinese deep fried spring rolls!

The Lebanese do have their own uniquely made cheese. The cheese tastes kind of sour, bearing the exact same taste as the sour cream. This is not exactly to my liking. There are of course other appetizers which I didn't order; fried chicken wings, calamari, Lebanese lamb sausage stir-fried with veggies etc.

★★★The appetizing chilli sauce
I personally like the sauce they provide. Its given when you order any appetizers or main course. It isn't very salty and has a strong spicy taste. It made the cheese rolls tasty though. A Must-try for chilli lovers.

★The char-grilled chicken cubesStaple food: vermicelli rice.
(in a mixture of spices, olive and tomato sauce, topped w/ fresh onions)

The chicken cubes are rather tender, albeit under-seasoned. The seasoning didn't really seep into the cubes, so it could have been more tasty.

★★★Tender chicken in Lebanese spices & sauce(Cutlet is a big wholesome piece, topped with spices & onions)

The chicken is well seasoned, with its skin crispy and perfectly-grilled. Cutlet is also perfectly tender and big. Upon finishing the entire plate, I was full & totally gratified. Even though the chicken is really tasty, my bud didn't really sense any unique/authentic Lebanese scent in the seasoning, which I was anticipating. The seasonings probably were adjusted to suit our local palate. Whatever the case is, I have to give credit to the tasty chick.

★The perfect vermicelli rice grains

This rice reminds me of the define solid grains of the nasi briyani rice which we always eat from the indian stalls. Don't judge it by its dull look. it definitely is tasty; in texture (where the rice isn't too soft/mushy), in flavour and aroma.

★'Gulf beach' is also known for their Kebab grills and rolls. (A pity that I didn't order, cos very ex!) The restaurant generally offers either rice or potato wedges as the main-carbohydrate food for their main courses. Choose the rice instead of the wedges for a better deal!
Apparently, there's a theory which says that one should always try the food that is unique to the cuisine rather than ordering something which one is familiar with.
i.e. dont visit a Chinese restaurant ordering spaghetti. try what the Chinese is good/specialised at.
Same applies to this Middle-eastern cuisine!
